A career in real estate was not part of the plan for Jo. After a solid career in education, as both a high school Government and History teacher and then an educational sales consultant for major textbook publishers, Jo started taking real estate classes because she wanted to know more about the process while her house was on the market. In the twenty years since, after first becoming licensed as a sales agent in Texas, Jo has also earned her Brokers license and become a licensed real estate instructor. Jo is also a licensed real estate Broker in Oregon, where she is sponsored by Town & Country Realty in Corvallis.
Jo is a member of the charter class of Skyline High School and served as the first president of the Skyline Alumni Association. She currently serves on the Government Affairs Committee at the local real estate board (Metrotex). Jo was also a founder, board member and president of the Old Lake Highlands Neighborhood Association in East Dallas.
She has one adult son who enjoys paramotoring across the fields of North Texas. She's a dog lover and a real estate numbers nerd. Each morning begins with a cup of coffee and a log into MLS to see what's happening with the latest statistics and trends in the DFW real estate market.
Before opening DFW Community Realtors, Jo was owner of Elle Realty in Dallas. Her real estate career began in Collin County, specializing in estate and luxury home sales. As broker for DFW Community Realtors, Jo wants to mentor, support and help promote her agents, local businesses and the good work of the many charitable organizations that provide much needed help to so many in our community.
